“Our story with portable lifting equipment actually started long before LFD existed.”
In the early 1980s, our founder was running an electrical installation business in Taiwan.
At that time, installing large window-type air conditioners was physically demanding and risky.
There were several occasions when heavy units fell during installation—not due to a lack of skill, but because there was no proper lifting solution available.
One day, while using a camera tripod for video work, he had a simple but powerful thought:
“What if a lifting device could work like a tripod—but with an additional leg, turning it into a four-leg stand that offers greater stability, telescopic movement, and controlled lifting?”
At that time, no such solution existed in the market.
So he decided to invent it himself.
This idea led to the development of one of the earliest four-leg, telescopic portable lifters, and ultimately laid the foundation for an entire product category.
For over 30 years, our founder was deeply involved in product invention, mechanical design, and continuous improvement across lifting and construction equipment—always driven by real job-site feedback.
During those decades, he personally encountered every type of failure, weakness, and customer complaint that a portable lifter could face in real-world use.
That accumulated experience became the foundation of LFD.
When LFD was established, our goal was very clear:
to redesign this category from the ground up, using a more stable four-leg structure, reinforced components, and solutions that genuinely improve safety and durability.
